Our Values

We value..

1. Dependence on God

We recognise that God is glorified in the church only as we depend on God and submit our plans, lives and future to His leadership. Prayer and the Word of God are foundational to our lives, to leadership, decision making, and every ministry and outreach of the church. We believe that personal surrender is the greatest gift we each bring to our ministry. (Col 1:15-20, Rom 8:11, 2 Tim 3:16-18)

2. A Personal, Growing Relationship with God

We believe that it is God’s desire, and our highest joy for us each to know Him personally and that within this relationship we receive life-transforming power through His Holy Spirit. (John 17:3, John 10:10, Matt 6:34, 27:33-34)

3. Community & Unity

We believe that Biblical Community is God’s desire for the church, characterised by genuine loving relationships. We are committed to building and preserving community & unity through trust, openness and honesty. We value diversity and invite people of every nation, language, age and gender to join our fellowship. (Acts 2:42-47, Rev 14:6)

4. People Far from God

We believe that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ so that humanity might have everlasting life and be restored to relationship with Him. We believe that the method of Christ in winning souls and accordingly are committed to meeting community needs and to calling people to follow Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, Matt 28:19-20, Luke 15)

5. Giving our best

We believe that giving our best in whatever we are called to do brings honour to God, so we aspire to become and do the best we can without expecting perfection.
